BMW Wants to Delete the Instrument Cluster And It Might Change Cars Forever

Image
For more than a century, every car has followed the same basic idea: You sit behind a steering wheel. You look through it. And directly behind it lives a cluster of gauges. Speed. Range. RPM. Warnings. Information. That rectangle whether mechanical needles or digital screens became one of the most recognizable objects in automotive design. Subscribe Enjoying my DIY car content? BMW is now asking a radical question: What if the instrument cluster simply disappeared? With the arrival of the Neue Klasse generation, BMW is replacing the traditional driver display with something that feels closer to science fiction than automotive evolution: a panoramic projection stretching across the base of the windshield, turning the glass itself into the primary interface...

How to Change a Burned-Out Cornering Light Bulb

Hyundai Tucson 2015–2020: How to Change a Burned-Out Cornering Light (H7 Bulb)

If you own a Hyundai Tucson from 2015 to 2020, you may eventually notice that one of your cornering lights has stopped working. Unlike many other lighting systems, the Tucson does not display a dashboard warning when the cornering light burns out—so the problem often goes unnoticed until driving at night or during turns.

In this article, I’ll show you how to change the cornering light bulb, where it’s located, and which long-life H7 bulb I recommend for the best performance and durability. I’ve also included a short step-by-step video below if you prefer visual instructions.

Tucson How to Change Cornering Light Bulb

What Is the Cornering Light on Hyundai Tucson?

The cornering light activates automatically when:

  • You turn the steering wheel at low speed
  • You use the turn signal
  • You drive at night with headlights on

Its purpose is to illuminate the side of the road, improving visibility when turning or maneuvering in dark areas.

Important Things to Know Before You Start

  • ❌ No dashboard warning appears when the cornering light burns out
  • 🔧 Access is under the bonnet (hood)
  • 💡 The bulb is located next to the low-beam H7 halogen bulb
  • ⏱ Replacement time: 5–10 minutes
  • 🛠 No special tools required

Cornering Light Bulb Location (Hyundai Tucson 2015–2020)

The cornering light bulb is housed inside the headlight assembly, very close to the low beam H7 halogen bulb.

Location summary:

  • Open the bonnet
  • Stand in front of the vehicle
  • Look behind the headlight unit
  • The cornering light socket is next to the H7 low-beam bulb

Tip: Space is a bit tight, but the job is still straightforward.

How to Change the Cornering Light Bulb (Step by Step)

  1. Turn off the engine and lights
  2. Open the bonnet
  3. Locate the cornering light socket next to the H7 bulb
  4. Twist the socket counterclockwise
  5. Remove the burned-out bulb
  6. Insert the new H7 cornering light bulb
  7. Reinstall the socket and twist clockwise
  8. Test the light by turning the steering wheel with headlights on

Recommended Long-Life Cornering Light Bulb (H&B)

For replacement, I recommend a long-life H7 halogen bulb, which offers:

  • ✅ Longer lifespan than standard bulbs
  • ✅ Reliable brightness for cornering visibility
  • ✅ Perfect fit for Hyundai Tucson 2015–2020
  • ✅ Excellent value for money

Final Thoughts

Changing the cornering light on a Hyundai Tucson 2015–2020 is a quick and easy task—even for beginners. Since the car does not notify you on the dashboard, it’s a good idea to check the cornering lights periodically.

Using a high-quality long-life H7 bulb ensures better durability and fewer replacements in the future.
