Renault has brought back the Twingo name, but this time with a full-electric twist. The Twingo E-Tech is a modern city car that aims to balance affordability, practicality, and playful personality.
It’s developed on Ampere’s AmpR Small platform, a purpose-built foundation for compact EVs. This helps Renault keep the car lightweight, efficient, and very city-friendly.
Renault designed much of the Twingo in France, with engineering work done in their Shanghai R&D center. The battery comes from CATL in China, but production is in Europe—specifically Slovenia.
