 Toyota, How to deactivate Keyless / Smart Key entry no red button DIY

Deactivating the keyless/smart key entry system in a Toyota without a red button can be done by following these steps:

  1. Locate the keyless entry module, which is typically located under the driver’s side dashboard or behind the glove box.
  2. Remove the cover or access panel to the keyless entry module.
  3. Locate the wire harness connected to the module and unplug it.
  4. Reconnect the wire harness to restore keyless entry function.

By unplugging the wire harness, the keyless entry system will be disabled and the vehicle will require the use of a physical key to unlock the doors. This can be useful for preventing theft or unauthorized access to the vehicle.

It is important to note that disabling the keyless entry system may also disable other features that rely on the smart key, such as the push-button ignition.
