  • Flathead screwdriver

Step 1: Locate the air filter housing The air filter housing in your KIA Picanto is located on the driver’s side of the engine bay. It is a black plastic box with a large air intake tube leading into it.

Step 2: Remove the air filter housing cover To remove the air filter housing cover, use a socket wrench to loosen the bolts holding it in place. Once the bolts are loose, use your hands to remove the cover from the air filter housing.

Step 3: Remove the old air filter Carefully remove the old air filter from the air filter housing. You may need to use a flathead screwdriver to loosen it from any clips or connectors.

Step 5: Install the new air filter Insert the new air filter into the air filter housing, making sure it is properly seated and aligned with the housing.

Step 6: Reattach the air filter housing cover Place the air filter housing cover back onto the air filter housing and tighten the bolts with a socket wrench.

Step 7: Test the new air filter Start your KIA Picanto and check that the engine is running smoothly with the new air filter installed. You should notice improved airflow and better engine performance.
